66466 Cpl. R.H.E. Jordan R.A.Awarded Distinguished Conduct MedalLG 11 March, 1916 ""For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He displayed great coolness and energy in repairing telephone wires under fire, and invariably volunteering for any work, however dangerous."
Served in "B" Battery 94th Brigade, MIC and copy of LG entry included. This brigade was originally comprised of A, B, C and D Batteries RFA and the Brigade Ammunition Column. It was placed under command of the 21st Division. The division suffered 55,581 killed, wounded and missing, being the highest number of casualties suffered by any New Army division.
