Walter Houghton was born in London, (Hackney) England on 26th July, 1894 and was a Painter by Occupation. According to ancestry he was in the Hackney workhouse for a while with his mother and siblings. He attested at London, Ontario on 9th August, 1915. His award was Gazetted March 13th, 1919. His brother, 127635 John William Houghton attested in the 23rd Battalion CEF and Died of Wounds whilst serving with the 44th Battalion on 6th June 1917.
