 Military General Service Medal 1793-1814, two bars, Nivelle, Nive to 12th Light Dragoons

Light contact marks, Good Very Fine. 

  Private James Fox was born in the parish of Littlebower, Northampton and enlisted in the Royal Regiment of Lancers in 1811, aged 18. He subsequently saw service with the Regiment in the Peninsula and Waterloo. He served with Captain Samson Stanwell's Troop at Waterloo. He was discharged in 1821 as a consequence of falling from his horse whilst performing his duty in London during the previous year.
