Both medals are named in block style letters "3325 PTE W. SAWARD 1 R. WAR. R" .

Included are the confirmation on the roll as being entitled to both medals with the Khartoum bar, Willam Saward's enlistment/attestation paper showing he joined the Warwicks on July 10, 1891 (seems he was a Labourer with a lot of tattos!), his service record confirming no only action at Omdurman but also service in the Boer War - Sevice record also shows that he was guilty of the crime "striking a superior officer", promoted Lance Corporal but returned to Pte at his own request. Discharged 1903. Additionally provided are two documents outlining the Warwickshire participation in the Sudan campaign. One is the regimental war diary outlining the daily activities of the regiment during the campaign and provides very specific detail (7 pages) the other is taken from the book "The Story of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment formerly the Sixth Foot" also providing very specific detail of the advance and battle at Omdurman (5 pages).
