Charles Hickman was born on Nov. 1791 per I.M.S. Journal (Great Marlow, Bucks.) and saw service in the Nepaul campaign before retiring in 1825. Author of "A History of Cholera", resided at 5 Park Place with his wife and several servants on the 1851 and 1861 Census and died 1866 at Camberwell, Surrey.
