James Clark Hyde was an Electrical Engineer from Westmount, Quebec who attested on 30th January, 1916 having one years prior service in the 21st Battery, C.F.A. He served overseas I the 33rd and 51st Batteries, C.F.A. as well as a spell in the 2nd Canadian Divisional Ammunition Column.

He died in 1929 and is buried at Mount Royal Cemetery, worthy of further research.
