Medal is confirmed in Thyen roll, which shows 22 members for this unit, half of them officers, and includes men such as George W. Stephen (later President of the CPR), and William W. Molson of Molson Breweries fame.
Medal loose on original period ribbon. An interesting medal to a Montreal officer with good research potential, references exist in the Canadian Archives to this man and his family.
