Walter Dawson was born at Cockermouth, Cumberland, England. His father was Captain A. Stanhope Dawson. He was a Labourer by occupation and attested at Peterborough, Ontario on Feb. 18th, 1915. Wounded (GSW to the Spine) and Shell Shocked, 28/9/16. "Blown up by a shell" sadly was a Paraplegic from that time and completely invalided. He died post war 15/8/22 as a result of his severe injuries.
