The 65th (Saskatchewan) Battalion was raised with mobilization Headquarters at Saskatoon effective August 15th 1915. The battalion sailed for England June 18th 1916 where it was absorbed into the 51st (Garrison) Battalion before being assigned to the 44th, 46th, 54th and 72nd Battalion then forming as components of the 4th Canadian Division. Being fully depleted of all troops by October 12th 1917 the battalion was disbanded under GO.82 1918.
