A rare Officer's helmet plate of the Pictou Garrison Artillery.
This plate is not listed in Mazeas's Pre 1914 Canadian Militia badge book.
All Gilt on brass construction, 3 7/8 inches high 3 1/5 inches wide and nicely toned with all original lugs intact.
Marked Pictou Garrison Artillery on the bottom ribbon.
This artillery unit consisted of only 45 men circa 1885 making this one of the rarest badges of the series.
