The letters SSS interspaced between crossed Gurkha kukri knifes beneath a King's Crown. As is found with every genuine example of this badge, the final "S" is truncated.

Renfrew et al, Vol 1 no. 1037 refers (all genuine examples of this badge have a truncated final "S", including the one in Renfrew).
