21st (Empress of India's) Lancers Victorian Czapka Lance Helmet Plate
A good die-stamped brass triangular fluted plate bearing Royal Arms set on crossed pennoned lances, below honour up with 'KHARTOUM' and title scroll.
Two intact screw posts with the original nuts. 2 pin holes in the corners for affixing to the helmet as typical.
Similar to Kipling & King Ref. 725 but with the Khartoum scroll beneath, described on page 198 of Vol. 1 but not pictured in the book. A scarcer plate.
