Cyril H. Cole was born in 1913 at Torrington, Devon. He married Mabel Cole at Bideford in 1933 and was later Mentioned in Despatches whilst serving in the Middle East (London Gazette 16 April 1942, refers); with his contemporary brass R.A.O.C. Cap Badge.
