The 1st Bengal European Regiment became the 101st Regiment of Foot (Royal Bengal Fusiliers) and latterly the Royal Munster Fusiliers. It seems possible that Bailey would have gone onto share in the Battle of Ferozeshah and Sobraon during the 1st Sikh Wars in 1845-46.
