James Henry Harvey, born in Leeds, aged 26 in March 1901 ex Royal Irish Constabulary from 1st Dec 1893 to 8th March 1901, Londonderry (Belfast reserve), slightly over 6' tall, attested at Dublin on 8 March 1901. Invalided on 26th March 1902, his intended place of residence on discharge was Liverpool, his intended place of residence on discharge was Liverpool, where he joined the Police and by 1921 was Police Band Sergeant (Oboeist) in B Division, Prescott St. He was married to Alice Orme in 1906 in Liverpool and together they had one child.
The 61st (South Irish Horse (Dublin)) Company (also known as the 2nd Dublin) formed on 7th March 1900 at Dublin, which served in the 17th Battalion, IY, alongside the 60th (North Irish Horse (Belfast)) Company and two English companies.
