Archibald Boyd Hale was born on 30 June 1894 in Montreal, Quebec. He had 3 years prior service with the Montreal Garrison Artillery when he attested in March 1915. On 13 January 1916 he received grenade wounds to both legs. He was killed in a ction on 1st October 1916 and is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial.
