Henry Tasse, born Ponsonby, Quebec, attested at Prince Albert, Sask. 26 June 1915 giving his occupation as a Farmer. He served in the 42nd Battalion Black Watch of Canada, was a pre-war member of the 52nd Prince Albert Militia. He was Killed in Action on 15 September 1916 on the first day of the Battle of Courcelette. He is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial. His Plaque and medals were returned, he was not married so this may be his only extant award.
