Harry Ashby Perkins was born on 25 March 1887 at Market Hartford, Leicestershire and attested for the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force at Toronto on 11 November 1914 providing his occupation as “Artist”. He served with the 19th Battalion (Queen’s Own Rifles), Canadian Infantry during the Great War on the Western Front, and was discharged at Toronto on 11 July 1919. He died in Kelowna, British Columbia, on 10 April 1977.
