Near E.F. but BWM with a deep scratch on Obverse and all with lacquer on Replacement Polyester Ribbons.
Archibald Augustus Morgan was born in Swansea, Wales. Previous service with 3rd Gloucester Rifle Corps. Enlisted November 1914 in Quebec City with 23rd Canadian Battalion. Arrived in France in late April 1915 as reinforcement for 4th Canadian Infantry Battalion. Wounded by shell fire to the legs and suffering from a fractured femur, he Died of Wounds on the 2nd of June 1915. Buried in LILLERS COMMUNAL CEMETERY, France.
His parents chose and paid for the following epitaph to be put on his grave; “A BRAVE, GENEROUS LAD ALL NEAR AND DEAR WILL NEVER FORGET HIM”
