James George Jessup served in the 42nd Battalion for the 1870 clasp. Later James moved to Calgary, Alberta and resided at 310 13th Ave. East. He applied for a Land Grant in 1906 but his application refers to him having previously received 164 acres in Laura Township, Ontario and being of enfeebled mind. He died in Calgary in 1912.
