Galloway Rifle Volunteers Other Ranks Glengarry Badge
A good and scarce Victorian die-stamped blackened brass example, with a crowned wreath of thistles, centred with a Lion Rampant to the centre of the shield, with ‘G.R.V.’ below a scroll with the motto ‘Albanich’.
The reverse with two loops, very good condition.
Became the 5th Volunteer Battalion King’s Own Scottish Borderers in 1908.
