Pickled Brass, EF condition

An other ranks pickled cap badge to the 149th (Lambton) Battalion CEF (Babin E.149, Charlton 149-4) By Inglis but not maker marked. The 149th Battalion was raised in Lambton County with mobilization headquarters at Watford effective December 22nd 1915. The Battalion did not sail for England until March 28th 1917 and with only about 50% of the usual 1050 man battalion strength. The battalion was absorbed into the 4th Reserve Battalion and being fully depleted of all ranks was disbanded April 11th 1918 under General Order 82 of 1918.
