Cap Badge to the 69th Battalion CEF (Babin E.69, Charlton 69-6). The 69th Battalion was raised in Quebec with mobilization headquarters at Montreal effective August 15th 1915. The Battalion sailed for England April 17th 1917 where it was absorbed into the 10th Reserve Battalion. The 69th Battalion was not disbanded until September 15th 1920 under General Order 149 of 1920. This would indicate that the battalion was never depleted of all ranks as reinforcements but remained on garrison duty in England for the duration of the war.
